SCIC presents a reinterpretation of the iconic Labirinto kitchen at Milan Design Week 2024, born from a collaboration with CCD, acronym for Cheng Chung Design, a renowned Hong Kong firm.
The solid and ancient relationship between China and Italy has matured creatively, and the rediscovery of tradition is a central theme. In its thirty-year history, CCD has achieved a prestigious global position, often seeking encounters with Western culture. From the interaction between SCIC and CCD, suggestions and requests emerged, outlining specific lifestyle guidelines that blend the two millennial cultures.
The collaboration has led to new projects and ambitions in fields such as hospitality, retail, and contract, aimed at the tastes of a contemporary Orient for which SCIC serves as the signature platform.
The re-edition of the Labirinto kitchen, which for the occasion is named ่ฟทๅฎซ MIGONG (“labyrinth” in Chinese), features a countertop made of precious Starry Green Marble, signed by Cheng Chung Design. The composition, enhanced by Serpentine Jade tones, has been the guiding thread of the research between CCD architects and Cattaneo Design studio, who brought this first of many projects to life.
