SCIC Italia, in partnership with the art advisor Elena Bondesani, has hosted the photographic exhibition of the artist Morgan Miller in the SCIC Flagship Store in Milan, Via Durini 19.
Morgan Miller, New York photographer and CEO of Honest Media and Social Vandals digital media agencies, has worked for years in the PR & Marketing field when he discovered his passion for photography. Through-out a trip in Yucatán, he found out his natural attitude in bringing out feelings and emotions through the shots of a camera. Driven by a fervid environment and by his parents, professionals in the industry, he decided to unleash his passion, achieving success.
In SCIC Flagship Store four of his works of art were exhibited in the most strategic areas to underline both the smallest details and the environment that surrounds them; letting emerge a meaningful connection between art, architecture, and fashion.
Recurrent motif is the presence of a female figure, a model, capable of drawing the attention even if, for example, is turning her back (“Juliana at Thompson LES Hotel pool, in Corset” – 2013) or if she is closed inside a display case, recalling the shark of Damien Hirst’s work of art (“Not Damien’s Shark” – 2013). “That Skull in Boots” (2013) and “Not a Diamon Skull” (2013) are suggestive and enigmatic snapshots depicting a model with her face covered with Swarovski.
During the Milan Fashion Week, the artist himself visited the Showroom delighting the guests with interesting facts about the photo shooting.
