In the perspective of continuous progress in pursuing business objectives, SCIC has obtained over the years numerous certificates aimed at improving its results in terms of responsible management of the company.
Thanks to the constant effort, PAS 24000:2022 certification has been obtained. It’s a public evaluation specification (Publicly Available Specification) that outlines the requirements and guidelines for the social management of organizations.
Published by the British Standards Institution (BSI) in September 2022, the document aims to ensure that organizations promote the use of socially responsible practices inside the company. Its adoption is also a strategic decision: by making more informed choices the company can obtain benefits in terms of business performance by becoming more competitive through the value of their workers.
The certificate was issued after careful evaluation: the SCIC business reality has been observed and it has been declared respect for the requirements defined by the document. The institution responsible for verifying compliance is IMQ, a reputable institution which is a national reference point in issuing certificates.
The objectives identified in PAS 24000:2022 can be grouped into different areas of interest: from respect for human rights, to health and safety at work, to business ethics. Among the many achievements that the company must achieve to be certified, there is a wide resonance for the improvement of working conditions: ensuring an appropriate, safe and inclusive work environment where diversity is understood as strength and social relationships are valued. The certificate also guarantees the application of the principles and rules contained in the company’s Code of Ethics, thus defining the company’s ethical and social responsibility.
The certified organization can use PAS 24000:2022 as a useful tool, aimed at identifying possible areas to intervene to improve its business performance.
Through the application of the guidelines contained within the document it is possible to evaluate and measure the social impact of an organization aiming at making the certified company more and more responsible.
