In the morning of 28 November 2024 took place on Parma the stamp presentation ceremony dedicated to the World Champion of Cycling Vittorio Adorni. The stamp is part of a series of four stamps dedicated to cycling and Italian world champions.
Mayor Michele Guerra emphasizes how much Vittorio was honored by the citizens of Parma as a reference who embodied the values of sport and human. For this reason it was thought to present the stamp commemorating him in the hall of the City Council, the heart of the city.
Were presented Italian cycling cartoons depicting the following athletes: Libero Ferrario first Italian to win the World Championship in 1923; Ercole Baldini, world champion in 1958; Vittorio Adorni, world champion in 1968; Felice Gimondi, world champion in 1973.
Blue, red, black, yellow and green are the main colors of the band that delimits each cartoon taking over the iridescent shirt worn by world champions.
The stamp representing Vittorio Adorni is available in post offices with philatelic counter, in the philately spaces and on line on the site filatelia.poste.it. Also a four-sided A4 philatelic paper was produced containing the four stamps, four cancelled and stamped postcards and the illustrated bulletin.
