From 1948 until today we have built our kitchens as we dreamed them to be: with imagination, dedication, passion and using all our energies and expertise to design kitchens with modern and functional solutions.

0{{current_slide_index}} 0{{total_slide_count}} 1948 Renzo Fornari, a building constructor, detects the property of a small carpentry workshop in Parma, where he begins to design the first prototypes of kitchens. His idea was to completely withdraw from the traditional concept of โ€œAmerican Kitchenโ€, modest and bound to the use of laminated plastic and faux wood. In fact, he wanted to craft high-quality kitchens, where beauty, functionality and aesthetics could live together. 1961

In this place, the first models of modular kitchen are studied and designed. Although still far away, the idea of creating SCIC is already in the air.
1948 1963
0{{current_slide_index}} 0{{total_slide_count}} 1963 ยท 66 Renzo Fornari takes the lead and transforms the business into a company that produces elegant and technologically advanced kitchens. This is how SCIC was born. SCIC is the acronym of โ€œSuper Cucine Italiane Componibiliโ€ (Modular Italian Super-Kitchens).
When in the Mariano Mill begun the study of the first models, the next development stages were already planned. The 2nd of May 1966 the Viarolo di Parma SCIC Headquarter was created: a space of 10 thousand square meters on an area of 150 thousand in which the installation of assembly lines was possible.

0{{current_slide_index}} 0{{total_slide_count}} 1967 Renzo Fornari decides to entrust Franco Maria Ricci, his friend who was also a graphic designer, publisher and art critic, with the development of the brand image. The suggested logo, an hexagon divided in six triangular elements, was created from the dual idea of beauty and modularity. Beauty is suggested by the symbolic evocation of the flower to which the hexagon can be traced, while modularity is to be found in the purely geometrical aspect. 1963 1969
0{{current_slide_index}} 0{{total_slide_count}} 1968 SCIC is known around the world for Franco Maria Ricciโ€™s advertising campaigns and the design innovations that belongs to these successful years: from the Bar Cart designed by the arch. Castiglioni to the kitchen model Lunascic.
A design so modern that stood out in the market for its technology.
1967 1969
0{{current_slide_index}} 0{{total_slide_count}} 1969 Renzo Fornari found the SCIC sports group, giving life to a new cycling team. Vittorio Adorni, first championship of the cyclists team, opens a season full of triumphs and cyclists who passed by Viarolo.
The last year will see realized the desire for the conquest of the pink shirt by Giuseppe Saronni.

An idea that changes the look of kitchen furniture and offers a "natural" solution to the domestic order.

Victoria & Albert

SCIC asks Franco Maria Ricci to design a new line of elegant furniture to include next to the kitchen production.
The name Victoria and Albert underlines the stylistic influences of la fin du siรจcle and the first years of the 1900s.
1972 2006
0{{current_slide_index}} 0{{total_slide_count}} 2006 The friendship between Renzo Fornari and Franco Maria Ricci culminates with the acquisition of the famous Ricciโ€™s library in via Durini, Milan, and its transformation into the SCIC Flagaship Store. A change that happened without altering the neoclassical architecture of the space, thanks to the Architects Dallโ€™Orto, Cattaneo and Garbin. 1975 Today 0{{current_slide_index}} 0{{total_slide_count}} 2018 ยท TODAY New collaborations with different fashion brands take place, such as FENDI, ELIE SAAB Maison and KARL LAGERFELD Maison. A new step towards identifying SCIC products as a synonym for quality and innovation.
In 2023 SCIC buys the famous brand SCHIFFINI with the aim of taking Made in Italy craftsmanship to new heights.
